I find just saying hello, with a big cheesy grin, to strangers has a similar affect(you often get a rewarding glazed affect on their face as they try and work out if the know you or not).
On the downside you don’t have the opportunity of being bound over to keep the peace…..

Tempting as that is, I’m in the UK. I suspect people would just put the kettle on for tea then form an orderly queue for the Afterlife.
