Ah well.

Just received news from the beeb; I’ve not made it through to the final round of the Drama Writers’ Academy.

Which is a shame.

Never mind. Onward!

EDIT: Paul Campbell has though. Send some good wishes his way.

  1. That’s really too bad; as you know, I was mightily impressed with your ability to churn out EastEnders script pages so quickly, using characters you’d never seen in action no less. You’ve done really well and I think a bottle of champers is in order.

  2. I think you meant to say “watched on a regular basis for months if not years” there.

    🙂

And I’ll take that champagne action.

  3. Sorry to hear it. I was going to explode with bright, vivid green jealousy, of course, but I was looking forward to exploding with jealousy. I had new expletives ready.

Sounds like you had a very good day with them at the workshop, at least, and I do think that now you’re so steeped in EastEnders you should look to approach them directly.

  4. Ah, that’s a pity. Well done on getting so far and I am also very impressed that you managed to write a script so quickly. Sounds like it was tough but a good experience.

  5. Arrrrggghhhh! I’m not happy.

    Still, as you say, onwards.

We are Sherman tanks, rolling across the entertainment industry. While trying not to cause too much actual damage, naturally.

  6. Bad luck mate. But of course you have the added advantage of bringing Auntie down from the inside in revenge…???

(Why does that sound so wrong??)

  7. it’s a disgrace sir, a disgrace I tells you!

In protest I will not be watching Eastenders tonight. Or any other night. That’ll learn ’em.
